FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
REDDING, CA (May 16, 2023) - We are a nation of pet owners, and Shasta County is no exception, which is why Turtle Bay Exploration Park is elated to present Cats & Dogs: The Exhibition from Saturday, May 27 to September 4, 2023. Experience the scientific, sociological, and cultural knowledge about these animals through interactive and sensory games and simulations for guests of all ages.
In order to fully understand cats and dogs, the Universcience has created three scenes within the exhibit to guide guests in exploring animals' unique skills and inherent intelligence. “In Their Skin” gives participants the chance to compare their physical abilities to those of cats and dogs. “In Their Heads” is an immersive experience that helps humans understand animals' feelings, emotions, modes of communication and behavior. “In Our Society” illustrates how cats and dogs are portrayed in our lives today and the role that they play with humans.
There are many active spaces and immersive experiments for guests to enjoy in Cats & Dogs. Turtle Bay Exploration Park’s values of playfulness and life-long learning fall in line with the Cats & Dogs exhibition occupying our Exploration Hall and Art Gallery, as guests will have the opportunity to step into the shoes of their pets at home and learn something new.
Cats & Dogs is presented in memoriam by The Family of Sherrill Bambauer, with major support by Moore & Bogener, Inc, and support by Jackson Ranch for Dogs and Happy Tails Wholistic Pet Wellness. Cats & Dogs is created by Universcience, adapted by Musée de la Civilisation, and produced by Imagine Exhibitions Inc.
